  I can't begin to tell you how much I am enjoying and benefiting from the Decorating Workshops home study course! I started out by reading through the material really fast, which gave me hope that I could pull a room together, but also caused me a moment of despair when I saw how many things I was doing wrong. Then I started throught the material more slowly and saw that I could make gradual changes, which is less overwhelming to me.

  The first thing I did in our living room was eliminate one piece of furniture that was out of season with the rest of the room. I had a winter/autumn sort of decor going with one little antique spring type secretary that just didn't fit. I moved it to an upstairs bedroom, and what a difference! The room already looks better, and I'm only just starting.

  Thank you for the advice about what to do about our black piano. I have placed a few other black objects around the room to help move our eyes around the room, so they don't just get sucked into that black hole, and it really helps!

  The big projects, of course, will be painting and recarpeting, but at least I can live in the room the way it is until we can get to those.

  It's so reassuring to have such a practical resource at my fingertips. I'm no longer intimidated by the prospect of trying to decorate or redecorate a space. It's all there! Thanks again, and best of success to you in all your endeavors!

  We broke ground on the property for the new house!! Hooray! We were on vacation in Florida from 8-15 to 8-22. When we returned it was started.

  Rhonda Kifer worked with my husband and me when our home was under construction. She provided us with very helpful guidance and ideas regarding the entire interior of the home. This included window treatments, carpeting, wall paper, painting and furniture.

  Rhonda's manner of working is as helpful as her technical skill. She forms a partnership with her clients, taking a great deal of time to learn the client's personal style, tastes and budget. Here are the pictures of the condo and our commentary of your workshop:  Sometime ago my husband approached me about changing our home decor.  He admired the Zen philosophy and wanted our home to reflect it.  Since I knew nothing of the aspects of Zen decor and could not afford a professional decorator, I turned to Rhonda Kifer's "Decorating Workshops".  The material was so easy to understand and to incorporate.  Rhonda was so helpful with all our questions and helped us achieve the look we wanted even on our "Walmart" budget.  We are so pleased with the results and would recommend the "Decorating Workshops" to everyone.
