This program is designed for those seeking both industry certification as a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL DECORATOR and professional affiliation in the industry. The program includes design and business development and is geared to those who may want to immediately or eventually run their own decorating business. The five-day course covers a broad focus in a variety of interior decorating and business disciplines, and involves classroom learning with meaningful inter-activities to increase learning and retention and ensure transfer of skills. The course results in 2 certifications, both an Interior Decorating Certification and the industry professional certificate and designation CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL DECORATOR through passing of the DANA exam on day 5 and includes a one year membership in the professional organization, The Decorators' Alliance of North America (DANA). Learning modules focus on behavior outcomes so that learners gain the professional skills needed to serve clients.
